When I first started learning Spanish, I quickly realized how essential clothing vocabulary is for everyday conversations. Whether you're shopping, describing what you're wearing, or asking for a different size, knowing the right words is incredibly useful.
La camisa – Shirt
Los pantalones – Pants
El vestido – Dress
La falda – Skirt
Los zapatos – Shoes
El abrigo – Coat
El cinturón – Belt
La bufanda – Scarf
El sombrero – Hat
Las gafas (de sol) – (Sun)glasses
El reloj – Watch
When describing clothing, you’ll often use colors and adjectives. For example:
Una camisa azul – A blue shirt
Un abrigo largo – A long coat
Zapatos nuevos – New shoes
¿Cuánto cuesta? – How much does it cost?
¿Tiene otra talla? – Do you have another size?
Me queda grande/pequeño – It’s too big/small
To become more comfortable with clothing vocabulary, try using it in context. Describe your outfit in Spanish or imagine you're shopping in a Spanish-speaking country. The more you use these words, the more natural they'll feel.
